Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational team in Sutton, London. The successful candidate will provide support to classroom teachers and assist in creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment for students aged 11 to 16 years.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the delivery of curriculum activities under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials, equipment, and resources.
• Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups to help overcome barriers to learning.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Help maintain classroom discipline and promote positive behaviour among students.
• Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating educational atmosphere.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required.
• Attend and contribute to meetings and professional development sessions.
Requirements:
• GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Enhanced DBS check or the ability to obtain one.
