Job Title: Science Teacher - SEN School
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Science Teacher for a special school in Sale. This school is dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs. This is a full time role starting after the Easter break, until the end of the school year. This is an 11-19 provision for children who have a range of learning difficulties and additional needs. All pupils have moderate or severe learning difficulties but many have additional needs such as autistic spectrum condition, social and emotional mental health and physical disabilities. Small classes, good support from teaching assistant, allow for varied support which is tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all pupils can reach their potential both academically and in terms of developing independence skills As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons tailored to the diverse needs of our students. From adapting curriculum materials to providing hands-on experiments and demonstrations, you will play a key role in inspiring a love for Science and fostering the academic growth of the students. Qualifications and Experience: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching science at the secondary level. - Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a special needs school setting is desirable but NOT essential. - Strong knowledge of the secondary science curriculum and effective teaching strategies for students with diverse learning needs. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with special needs.
