Many of the students here have faced real challenges, and they need someone in their corner who’s consistent, calm, and confident. Whether you’ve supported young people in schools or worked in care, youth services, or similar roles involving challenging behaviour—if you can connect, de-escalate, and stay positive, we want to hear from you. What the role looks like: • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups • Helping pupils stay focused and engaged during lessons • Building trust and positive relationships with students who may struggle with authority or routine • Supporting the wider team in managing behaviour and creating a safe, respectful learning environment • Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies when needed You’ll need to bring: • Real resilience – this environment can be tough, but incredibly rewarding • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • A calm, confident, and supportive approach • Experience working with challenging behaviour (care, youth work, or education settings) • Classroom experience is highly desirable, but not essential for the right person • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one This is a role where your presence truly matters—where showing up every day can change the course of a young person’s life.
