Working closely with class teachers and SEND professionals, you will provide tailored support to pupils, helping to promote academic progress, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Key Responsibilities • Support class teachers with the delivery of differentiated learning activities for pupils with SEND. • Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions to support learning and engagement. • Implement individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour support strategies and classroom adaptations. • Use assistive technology, visual aids and other specialist resources to support pupil development. • Monitor, record and report on pupil progress and achievements. • Encourage a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment. • Support the social, emotional and behavioural development of pupils. • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents and external professionals. • Contribute to safeguarding responsibilities and attend relevant meetings and training. Requirements To be considered for this Teaching Assistant opportunity, you should have: • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting. • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties. • A good understanding of inclusive education and SEND support strategies. • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm. • Strong communication skills and a proactive, nurturing approach.
