Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Full time Teaching Assistant - ASAP start
Axcis Education are supporting a SEN school in Trowbridge in recruiting for a SEN teaching assistant to work full time to start ASAP working with primary aged children that have students with complex needs and autism who also can be non verbal.
The school is part of a wider network of SEN schools in Wiltshire who cater to all sorts of special needs and range from as young as 5 up to the age of 18. The school have a very family dynamic about them and we have placed a large amount of people there in the past that have simply ended up staying and going permanent. The school are also great for training opportunities and have a great support network to make sure everyone is playing an equal part in the school's vision. Class sizes tend to be no more than 15 pupils.
We are looking for a teaching assistant that;
- Ideally has experience with special needs, this can be from a previous special needs school or a mainstream school.
- Be imaginative, patient and empathetic in responding to pupil needs.
- Have a calm patient and resilient approach with a passion for supporting young learners.
An enhanced DBS on the update service is required. If you are looking for teaching work without huge commitment - this may be the job for you.
