About the Role As a Primary Teaching Assistant in this specialist provision, you’ll support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside other SEND such as ASD. You’ll work closely with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to provide tailored, consistent support that helps pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. Your role will include: Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and additional needs Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development Assisting with personalised learning plans and engaging activities Promoting a positive, structured learning environment Building strong, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and progress Every interaction you have will contribute to helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve meaningful outcomes.
