**Job Title**: Primary Teacher - Year 5 **Job Location**: Heywood, Lancashire **Contract Type**: Full-time (Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm) **Salary**: £160 - £220 per day PAYE, depending on experience We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Primary Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Heywood, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who has a strong background in teaching Key Stage 2 and is looking for a full-time position in a supportive and dynamic environment. **Key Responsibilities**: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all students in a Year 5 class. - Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for their transition into Year 6 and ensuring they meet learning objectives. - Maintain a positive, disciplined learning environment with high standards and expectations for pupil behavior. - Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages pupils to participate fully in the learning process. - Develop strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support pupil's academic and social development. - Participate in and contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities. - Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles. - Implement the national curriculum in a way that is stimulating for students. - Attend parent evenings and other school events, providing class performance feedback, and discussing student progress with parents/guardians. - Manage classroom resources effectively and ensure a safe and tidy learning environment. - Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and participate in school-wide initiatives. **Qualifications and Skills Required**: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. - An Enhanced DBS Check on the update service. - Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5. - Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior excellently. - Proficiency in creating lesson plans, delivering effective teaching, and conducting student assessments. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and staff. - Flexibility, creativity, and initiative in a classroom setting. - A commitment to continuous professional development. - Ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
