Job Title: Personal Care Teaching Assistant
Axcis have an amazing position available for the right candidate at a lovely SEN school in West London. The job role is a full time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 - 3:30 paying a rate of £96-98 per day. Your role will be a learning support assistant with children that have profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school works to ensure full and fair access to specialist resources according to the children's identified needs, as well as having equality and a voice in their education. It is a big school with amazing resources such as therapy dogs, Hydro pool, sensory rooms and grounds for the children to play on. Your position will be a Teaching Assistant working 1-1 or in small groups with the children. Most of the pupil's have life limiting conditions, are non verbal and wheelchair users so you must have experience in manual handling and personal care. The use of Makaton or BSL is an advantage but not essential. We are also looking for someone that has at least 2 years’ UK experience working with children with PMLD.
