Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND Support)
Location: Mainstream Primary School, Wembley
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
Pay: From £89 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Ongoing / Term-time only
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Wembley, supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural challenges and speech and language needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, behavioural needs and speech and language difficulties
Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals (e.g. speech and language therapists)
Support learning activities both in and out of the classroom
Encourage independence, communication and social interaction
Requirements:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Level 2 TA candidates with relevant SEND experience will also be considered
Previous UK primary school experience (essential)
Experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour
Understanding of speech and language needs
Calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
