Job Title: Learning supprt Assistant
Learning Support Assistant – College Setting (N17)
Start Date: September 2025
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant and inclusive college based in N17 this September. This is a full-time opportunity to provide in-class and one-to-one support to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across a range of subjects.
Role Overview:
As an LSA, you will work closely with students to ensure they can access the curriculum, remain engaged in lessons, and develop the confidence to succeed. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with EHCPs in lessons across various subject areas
Assisting learners in understanding key ideas and staying focused on tasks
Collaborating with teaching staff and the SENCo to adapt support strategies as needed
Encouraging independence and building strong, supportive relationships with students
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in an educational support role (LSA, Teaching Assistant, or similar)
A calm, approachable, and encouraging manner
Excellent communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented attitude
A genuine commitment to helping young people overcome challenges in their learning
