The Headteacher of a Primary School just outside of St Austell, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join their team. They are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who possesses a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, flexibility, and a desire to make a difference to their pupils. In addition, the successful candidate will have relevant and recent experience working in a primary classroom setting, high expectations and a commitment to ensuring that pupils with additional needs are able to prosper and succeed, both personally and academically. The successful candidate will work alongside, and support, pupils with specific learning needs; experience of delivering strategies identified on EHCPs and SEN Support Plans would be desirable. In addition, the successful candidate will be available to support learning in both KS1 and KS2 class settings and therefore, a knowledge and understanding of both KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum programmes of study would again be desirable. This job is located outside of suitable transport links, so the candidate would have to be able to drive.
