Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Learning Support Assistant Location: Bath, BA2 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only) Hourly Pay Rate: £13.69 Contract: Full-time Why Work With Us? With a relationship-led approach, staff focus on building safety, trust, and consistency—ensuring every learner is respected, supported, and seen. Your Role: • Offer one-to-one and small group support to help students access learning and achieve personal goals. • Lead and assist with creative, practical, and sensory-based activities that build confidence and engagement. • Use trauma-informed and relational strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour. • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with teachers, therapists, families, and external professionals to meet each pupil’s EHCP outcomes. Who You Are: • Experienced in supporting children with SEMH, SEND, or complex needs—ideally in an alternative provision or specialist setting. • Calm, consistent, and grounded in your approach, even when challenges arise. • Skilled at building positive relationships and creating safe learning spaces. • Bonus if you have experience in the arts, outdoor learning, youth work, or therapeutic practice.
