Learning Support Assistant Bournemouth We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive school located in Bournemouth, Dorset. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on a young child’s academic and social development. You will be working closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil who has Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech and language difficulties, providing specialised 1:1 support to facilitate their learning and integration within the classroom. The role - Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with ASC and communication difficulties, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate in school activities. - Work closely with the classroom teacher to assist with the delivery of lessons and whole-class support as needed. - Lead and deliver literacy and numeracy intervention programmes to groups or individual students to aid their educational progression. - Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), the senior leadership team (SLT), and external agencies to implement effective learning strategies and education plans. - Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress, maintaining records, and sharing feedback with teachers and parents/carers. - Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independent learning and positive behaviour. - Contribute to the school's aims and ethos by participating in team meetings and professional development activities.
