Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Positive Handling
Axcis Education are currently working with a school in South Bristol who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team in April on a full time basis. The above average sized primary school are a high achieving primary school previously receiving an ‘outstanding’ rating by Ofsted. It is situated in BS14 and has good transport links and parking facilities. The role is to support a year 4 pupil who can display challenging behaviour and needs a 1:1 mentor/learning support assistant to ensure they remain on task. They are described as a sweet child who just needs someone to set boundaries. The school have asked if possible for someone with either training or experience with positive handling and de-escalation techniques such as Team Teach, PRICE or other similar training. Experience in challenging behaviour SEMH and ADHD would also be beneficial. The role is to start in January but the school would consider a earlier start or a few handover sessions prior.
