Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs — even if you haven’t worked in a classroom before? A friendly and inclusive school within a multi-academy trust is looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This role could be at primary or secondary level, depending on your fit.
You’ll be working closely with a small group of around 3–5 pupils, helping them stay focused in class and engaged with learning tasks. The school is welcoming applications from people who have experience with autism, ADHD, SEMH or similar needs — whether through personal experience, volunteering, coaching, care work or relevant studies (e.g. psychology, education, youth work).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting 3–5 pupils during lessons, helping them access tasks and stay on track
- Encouraging independence and self-regulation
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to meet individual learning needs
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and respectful classroom environment
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (in any setting)
- Is proactive, patient and empathetic
- Is confident working with small groups and building relationships
- Wants to learn and develop their skills in an inclusive school setting
In return, you’ll get:
- A full-time, term-time role (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm)
- The chance to work in a welcoming, supportive school with lovely staff
- Opportunities to build your experience across primary or secondary settings
- Ongoing training and development to deepen your understanding of special educational needs
