Job Title: Learning Support Assistant- ASD
A dynamic and supportive secondary school in Mitcham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision from 1st September. This is a full-time, term-time position, with working hours from 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role involves supporting students with a range of additional needs, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will provide tailored 1:1 and group support to help students engage in learning, manage behaviour, and achieve their individual goals. Key Requirements: Proven experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs Ideally, previous experience in a secondary school setting A calm, consistent, and confident approach to behaviour management An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service Strong communication and teamwork skills A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
