Learning Mentor – College Placement (September Start)

Pay: From £89 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time
DBS Required: Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
Axcis Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate learning mentor to support students in a college setting starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring support to college students.
• Assist in the development of students’ confidence, motivation, and engagement in learning.
• Support learners with additional needs or barriers to education.
• Liaise with teaching staff and support teams to ensure students are reaching their potential.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Previous experience supporting young people in an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A valid Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Axcis.
