We are seeking an outstanding and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join a dedicated team of educators in a vibrant Rochdale school. The role requires a talented individual who is committed to providing engaging and dynamic lessons to secondary school students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are looking to further their career in an inclusive and supportive environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, according to the national curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and innovative educational materials that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing feedback that encourages and motivates learners.
- Develop and maintain a disciplined and nurturing classroom environment with excellent classroom management skills.
- Actively contribute to the planning and delivery of a diverse and robust curriculum.
- Engage with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed of student progress and potential areas for improvement.
- Participate in school meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities, with overtime paid for these responsibilities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to enhance teaching practices and school-wide initiatives.
- Utilize PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time effectively to ensure the highest standards of education delivery.
**Job Requirements:**
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
- Proven experience in teaching Humanities at secondary level, with the ability to cater to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Excellent classroom management skills to ensure a focused and disturbance-free learning environment.
- Strong understanding of the Humanities curriculum and current educational practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently.
- A passion for educating young minds and fostering holistic student development.
- Experience in monitoring and supporting student progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff alike.
**Working Hours and Benefits:**
- Standard working hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
- PPA time is allocated as per the school's policy to assist with lesson planning and student assessment.
