Job Title: Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant
Graduate Teaching Assistant SEND We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a wonderful team as a Teaching Assistant at a SEND school. Role Overview: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students and helping their full potential. You will be working closely with teachers and SENCO’s to provide guidance to students, both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis. Your knowledge of psychology will be crucial in understanding and addressing the diverse needs of our students whilst helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, incorporating strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Provide individualised support to students with SEND, including behavioural, emotional, and communication. Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans. Create positive and inclusive learning environments, promoting student well-being and self-esteem. Monitor students progress and development and provide feedback to teachers. Requirements: A degree in Psychology or a related field. Passion for working with children and young people with SEND. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
