Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons to inspire students of all abilities, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. Through creative teaching methods and a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum, you will ignite curiosity and deepen understanding of geographical concepts. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum, tailored to the needs of individual students. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to achieve their full potential. Utilize a variety of teaching resources and methodologies to engage students and enhance their understanding of geographical concepts. Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the geography department. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance in accordance with school policies. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. A degree in Geography or a related field. Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the classroom. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources. A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to engage in continuous learning.
