We are seeking a confident teaching assistant with experience in supporting students with SEND to join a fantastic primary school in Haringey. The school is in a fantastic location, easily accessible via local public transport links. As a teaching assistant, you'll play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special educational needs. Responsibilities: -Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, assisting them in academic tasks, social interactions, and behavioural management. -Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting acceptance, empathy, and understanding amongst students. -Monitor student progress and behaviour, documenting observations and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers. -Stay informed about strategies for supporting students with SEND, participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Qualities: Experience working with individuals with various SEND. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students. A positive and proactive attitude, with a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.
