Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have a sporty, active approach to learning and love helping children thrive through movement-based and sensory activities?
A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Waddon is looking for a dedicated and energetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time role ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, engaging with children in a dynamic way, and has experience (or a keen interest) in sensory circuits and active learning.
The Role:
• Supporting students with a range of SEND needs, including those with sensory processing difficulties and autism
• Leading and participating in sensory circuit activities and physical interventions throughout the school day
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt learning and build confidence in pupils
• Creating a safe, positive and encouraging environment for all learners
About You:
• Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school setting
• Active, enthusiastic, and confident in delivering physical and sensory-based activities
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
