Job Title: Full Time SEMH Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN teaching assistant to join a special educational needs school in Plymouth. The successful candidate will work with children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing support to children with SEMH needs in both individual and group settings
• Creating and delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities that cater to the specific needs of each child
• Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop individual education plans for each child
• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing guidance and support to children to help them manage their emotions
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential. This a full-time role that will start in September 2025 and your pay will be based on your experience.
