Are you a confident and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting pupils with additional needs?
A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking an experienced SEND TA to join their dedicated team. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including personal care, and is ideal for someone who can use initiative, build strong connections, and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
About the Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist with personal care tasks (toileting, hygiene, etc.) where required
Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
Foster a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external specialists
Support the emotional and social development of pupils
Use your initiative to respond to pupils’ needs in a flexible and proactive way
Requirements:
Proven experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting
Comfortable and experienced with providing personal care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport with students, showing empathy and patience
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Able to start immediately and commit to full-time work
