Job Title: Education Supply Staff
Axcis Education are an education recruitment agency who specialise in Special Educational Needs. We have several teaching assistant and supply staff roles starting in September in Salisbury, We work with SEND schools, mainstream schools, and nurseries as well as alternative provisions. We are calling for all teaching assistants, support workers, carers, SEND parents, TA’s, education graduates or nursery practitioners to come and join us.
As supply staff your role will be, to assist a child or young person either on a 1-1 basis or in small groups supporting them with educational activities planned by the teacher to monitor their development and assist their learning. You will also be managing behaviour in the class or being an emotional support to vulnerable children. Most importantly as a Teaching Assistant you will be a role model who the children look up to. The strengths needed to be a successful TA are, using your initiative, creating relationships with young people, getting stuck in with a willing and helpful attitude. Most importantly having a sense of humour and being a positive person, being a rewarding impact on the children.
You will always be supporting pupils with SEND needs this could range from Autism, learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, communication, or physical impairments and social, emotional, mental, health needs. You will have a personal consultant to guide you through the work, we will also look for work that best matches your previous experience and personality. Axcis will give you multiple opportunities in schools either day to day, short- or long-term vacancies until we find the right fit for you. We will always go above and beyond to get you a long-term role in the same setting.
We pay a daily rate of £90, with options of using an umbrella company or PAYE. The hours are 8:30 to 3:30 Monday to Friday full-time or 2,3, 4 days a week on a part time basis.
