Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and group support to children in Early Years, helping them develop social, emotional, and academic skills. • Maintain a structured and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported. • Engage children through creative activities, such as play, art, music, and storytelling, to make learning fun and interactive. • Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and helping children follow routines. • Collaborate with teachers to support children’s individual needs and development plans. • Help children develop independence by encouraging self-help skills like tidying up and dressing themselves. • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. What We’re Looking For: • Patience and Empathy: You will be working with young children, some of whom may face additional challenges, so a calm and understanding approach is key. • Creativity and Enthusiasm: We need TAs who can inspire children through imaginative and engaging activities. • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with young children, teachers, and other staff is essential. • Adaptability and Flexibility: Every day in Early Years is different! We need candidates who can respond to changing needs and work in a dynamic environment. • Teamwork: You’ll be working closely with class teachers and other staff members to ensure the children’s needs are met. • Experience in Early Years or SEN Settings: Previous experience working with young children or those with Special Educational Needs is desirable, though not essential.
