Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistants (Level 2 and Level 3) Location: Stretford, Secondary Special Needs School Position Type: Full-time, temporary to permanent Start Date: After the Easter Break Axcis Education is currently recruiting for two Complex Needs Teaching Assistants (Level 2 and Level 3) for a secondary special needs school in Stretford. This school caters to students with a diverse range of special educational needs, providing tailored support and inclusive learning environments. From autistic spectrum disorder to physical difficulties and language disorders, they are dedicated to ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with complex needs, including those with autistic spectrum disorder, physical difficulties, language disorders, and developmental delays. - Assist students with communication, social interaction, and other activities to promote their independence and confidence. - Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies. - Support students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. - Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. - Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, contributing to ongoing assessments and reviews. Qualifications and Experience: - For Level 2 TA: Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs. - For Level 3 TA: Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special needs support. - Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with special needs.
