Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary with the view to go permanent
About the Role:
Axcis Education is working in partnership with a Taunton school specialising in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment, tailored to meet individual needs. Students may display challenging behaviours, requiring staff who are resilient, adaptable and dedicated to fostering positive outcomes.
Requirements:
• Previous experience with SEMH or SEND is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with a calm, proactive approach.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to supporting children's progress.
Ideal Candidates:
We are keen to hear from individuals with experience in:
• Nurseries, colleges, youth clubs or residential settings.
• Supporting SEND students, including those with Autism, ADHD or behavioural challenges.
• Psychology, sociology, sports, music, art, or drama backgrounds. Personal experience with SEND is also welcomed!
Additional Information:
• Pay: £83.40 per day.
• Full-time role, starting in January 2025.
