Job Title: Childcare Assistant Location: Alderholt Start Date: January Salary: £90 per day (PAYE) Job Type: Childcare/Nursery Job Description: Are you passionate about early childhood education and have experience working with young children? We are searching for a dedicated Childcare Assistant to join a nurturing nursery in Alderholt. This role will require a caring individual who is enthusiastic about creating a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and grow. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with daily activities designed to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children. - Work closely with other nursery staff to implement the curriculum and contribute ideas for new and engaging activities. - Help prepare and maintain the learning environment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and welcoming for children. - Assist in monitoring the children at all times to ensure their safety and manage any conflicts that arise. - Help children with their basic needs, including meals, potty training, and naptime. - Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their child's day and development. - Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. - Attend staff meetings and training sessions to continually improve your skills and knowledge in childcare. Requirements: - Previous experience working in a childcare setting is desired. - Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework is beneficial. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate well with children and adults. - Compassionate, patient and consistent in approach to child care and development. - Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the nursery setting. - A satisfactory enhanced DBS check or willingness to gain one.
