Are you a resilient and compassionate individual with experience supporting students with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Monmouth, providing tailored support to students with Severe Learning Difficulties and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
About the Role:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to primary-aged students with SLD and SEMH.
• Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans and interventions.
• Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with students with SLD and SEMH, preferably in a specialist or alternative education setting.
• A strong-minded and resilient approach, with the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs are desirable but not essential.
