Job Title: Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School

Do you have the skills and dedication to support students in developing positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional resilience? If so, Axcis have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Behaviour Mentor in a thriving secondary school in Altrincham. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to learning and promote positive behaviour. You'll play a key role in helping students to engage fully with school life, building relationships, fostering self-esteem, and encouraging their personal development. Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one and group mentoring for students to improve behaviour and engagement. - Support students with emotional and social challenges, helping them develop coping strategies. - Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to implement behaviour support plans. - Monitor student progress and contribute to developing interventions that address behavioural concerns. - Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students. What We're Looking For: - Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students and staff. - Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing behavioural challenges. - Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm, professional manner. - A passion for helping young people to succeed, both personally and academically.
