Job Title: Behaviour Mentor – 1:1 Support
Axcis Education is working with a supportive mainstream secondary school in Urmston who are looking for a behaviour mentor to work 1:1 with a KS3 student with SEMH needs. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone who can be firm but fair, with a calm and consistent approach.
The student needs help managing behaviour, staying regulated in class, and staying on task during lessons. You’ll attend lessons with them, provide quiet encouragement, and help them feel secure and focused throughout the school day.
You’ll need:
- Experience working 1:1 with young people (this could be in a school, youth work, sports coaching, or similar)
- A solid understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Patience, a sense of humour, and the confidence to set boundaries calmly
