Job Title: Autism Support within the Classroom
Axcis is in search of individuals with SEND experience and a calm, empathetic demeanour to join an all-age special school in St. Helens. Specifically, the school is seeking someone well-versed in supporting individuals with ASD and complex ASD needs to join their proactive team. This is a full-time position for the remainder of the 2023/2024 academic year, with the intention to continue into September 2024. While in-depth subject knowledge is not required, skills and experience in working with individuals with Autism (ASD) and/or complex needs, such as sensory processing difficulties and challenging behaviour, are highly desirable due to the complex nature of the students' needs. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone eager to make a significant positive impact on the lives of individuals as they navigate the world around them. Candidates must have prior experience supporting individuals with special educational needs either professionally or personally. While qualifications and classroom experience are not essential, they would certainly be advantageous.
