Experienced SEND TA required for 1:1 support
We are recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism in a primary school in NW5.
This role would suit a confident and experienced SEND professional who understands autism and has previously supported children who present with challenging behaviour.
You will work closely with the pupil and teaching team to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day. The successful candidate will be able to establish trust, recognise triggers and respond to behaviour in a calm, structured and supportive manner.
Essential experience:
Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD.
Proven experience working with challenging behaviour.
Experience providing 1:1 support within a school or specialist setting.
Understanding of appropriate behaviour-support strategies.
Ability to remain calm and consistent during difficult situations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs.
This is a role where your experience can have a significant impact on a pupil's confidence, engagement and access to education.
Previous ASD and challenging behaviour experience is essential.
