Job Title: Autism support assistant
Location: Swindon, SN2
Pay: £13.69 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)

We’re seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school catering to pupils aged 5–19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This setting offers a highly personalised approach to learning, helping students grow in confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties, and associated behavioural needs
• Assist with classroom tasks, life skills development, and emotional regulation strategies
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to help students succeed
• Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with SEMH (social emotional and mental health) or managing challenging behaviour is highly desirable
• A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to support
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• A genuine interest in inclusive education and youth development
