Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant Location: St George – Multiple primary school positions available Start Date: September Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in classroom settings. • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and independence. • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to ensure holistic support for students. Requirements: • Experience working with children or young adults with special needs, preferably within an educational setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers. • Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging behaviors and situations. • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields (desirable but not essential).
