Position: Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support) Location: Prescot, Mainstream High School Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30-3:00 Hourly Rate: Starting from £13 Join a high-achieving school with an Ofsted "Good" rating, boasting a robust SEND provision tailored to meet the needs of its students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work within an inclusion base, supporting students who face challenges within the mainstream campus due to varied complex backgrounds and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will engage in 1:1 support as well as small group activities, collaborating closely with an exceptional team of SEMH support staff. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a positive learning environment. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Facilitate learning activities, promoting student engagement and academic progress. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure holistic support for students. Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to supporting students. Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment. A commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering positive relationships with students.
