Axcis education is currently working with a company who are looking to employ a Registered Care Home Manager.

Day to Day:
" We are looking for a person who is caring, compassionate, and hard working, committed and flexible to provide high quality person centred care and support.
Your daily duties will include:
" helping children get access to local education, health and other services
" responding to complaints from children or their families
" promoting children's rights and responsibilities
" contributing to care planning, statutory case reviews and case conferences
" developing programmes to promote positive behaviour and discipline
" responding to child protection concerns and reports
" You will take responsibility for all aspects of care within the home while promoting the key six values.
" You will provide support and assistance to all members of the staff team and share your valuable knowledge and experience.
" Create and develop good relationships with service users and their families to strengthen our reputation and to build the company profile.
" Build and develop your team.
" Ensure compliance with the Children's Act 1989 and 2004, Children's Home Regulations and associated regulations, the Children's Homes Quality Standards and any recommendations outlined by Ofsted.
" Provide management oversight of all aspects of the task of the households and direct work with the young people.
" Be responsible for developing and maintaining culture, routines, practice and environment of the household, which are in harmony with the philosophical direction of the service.
" Link closely with departmental leads to ensure joined up thinking within the organisation.
" Ensure all young people have key work sessions to ensure external networks are kept informed as necessary of developments.
" Be responsible for the deployment of staff in their team, to meet their team's tasks effectively within the household and into the weekend and school holidays.
" Chair appropriate meetings as required.
" Perform on call duties as required.
" Ofsted inspection requirements
" Managing the Ofsted inspection process to achieve the highest possible evaluation and Standards of Care.
" Ensure all weekly and monthly checks are in line with the self-evaluation cycle to support the Reg 45 Audit
The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial qualities and be passionate and dedicated to providing first-class care to our service users and the smooth running of the home.
" We are looking for someone with a care qualification, good time management skills, flexible working hours and commitment.
" For the managers position we would need Level 5 (working towards level 5) or RMA qualification.
" Ofsted registered or has been registered previously.
